What’s your reward?
Hey Guys,
Performance deserves a Reward!
Most of you probably don’t know but I set a goal for this year that I achieved with the purchase of my property at Didsbury Point. Whilst it is a personal goal so I am not going to share it the important thing to learn is that being a successful investor isn’t just about investing, it is as much to do with reward. This year I have worked hard and the reward for achieving what I set out for is something I have wished for since I was 15 and I met my first millionaire. At that meeting I committed to getting an Amercian Express Platinum Card and a Breitling watch. He had both, I was so impressed with those material things at 15 that I set about achieving them both. I acheived the Amex Platinum a few years ago and finally in Hong Kong I will be returning with a brand new Breitling Watch. 17.5 years it has taken but it was worth every moment.
The whole point is this: what is driving you that extra mile? What is keeping you focussed on achieving what you have set out to achieve?
If you don’t have something driving you then it’s time we had a chat. You may not be aware but prior to property I ran a Personal Development Seminar company so I have a great deal of knowledge when it comes to goal setting. I normally don’t raise it until you have 5 or more properties through me but we are coming up to the Christmas season and then the New Years Resolutions follow… So get in early…
I am also planning on re-releasing a workbook I wrote back in 1999 about goal setting to assist you to find out what drives you… Just today I begun a 6 week process for the team here running them through the process so feel free to ask them about it.
Brett’s OzTrip 2005
Just so you know I will be taking a break from the Blog so that I can enjoy my time back in Australia and Hong Kong from the 12th October 2005 through to the 7th November 2005.
Heading home to see my parents (haven’t seen them since August last year), My best mate Shane is getting married to Nikki (another falls at the alter – Congrats mate), and of course to see all my other friends and family. It’s a bit of whirl wind stop in Oz, I arrive in Sydney, then Melbourne and finally Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
Don’t worry I won’t be forgetting all of you. I will have my mobile on my the entire time and will also be on email, although the guys in the office will be handling most of the general queries.
Live with passion,
Brett Wood
