| Lock 38 Canal front living in the heart of a thriving metropolis... | ![]() |
Overall you made our first purchase as easy as possible with minimum input from us. We put our trust in yourselves and we are more than happy with the outcome. We will gladly recommend your services to others. Many thanks for the champagne gift.

You'd never guess it but Consett in County Durham was once just a small country town surviving on mining, steelworks and ironworks. These days it's traded pick axes for computers, vegetable patches for high street brands and labourers for modern day professionals. It's a total transformation - the government and local community have worked hard to turn Consett from an industrial town to a modern business paradise, they've even built an Innovation Centre to cater to the needs of technology related businesses. There is more to come, another large shopping centre and a hotel complex are just two of the projects in the pipeline.
It's because of this transformation that people are choosing to move to Consett. Good news for us because we've managed to secure ten 3 bedroom freehold houses on the outskirts of Consett. Local letting agents tell us that more and more people are looking to buy and rent property here. That explains why half of this development is already sold, and all to owner occupiers - it would seem property in Consett is in demand!
Not surprising really, with all its bars, shops, restaurants, great roads and local bus links you'd expect the town to be a sprawling concrete metropolis - but it's not. The development itself has a really 'neighbourly' feel, surrounded by houses (not giant apartment megaplexes) with plenty of green spaces and stone-built country lanes. It's close to a bus stop to get into town, but has parking too - great for lettings because most people in the area drive!
Consett has a lot to offer, good schools - one of the best is on our street - sports facilities, a local market, college, theatre and world class golf course. It also benefits from being just 30 minutes drive from the major city of Newcastle and 14 miles from Durham city centre.
Property here is still affordable and that's one of its appeals, but with its rapid growth rate it wont be like this for long, so take advantage while you can! If you have questions or are interested in reserving your plot simply give your Property Consultant a call on 0207 812 1255 or direct on their mobiles.
