It’s getting to that time each year where we look back and ask ourselves what have we achieved this year?

Hopefully you have a list as long as your arm, filled with positive, inspirational and worthwhile achievements! Hopefully this year has marked a huge leap forward for your lifestyle leaving you ready to take on the world next year.

But unfortunately, it’s not always the case. Sometimes life throws curve balls that divert our time in other directions. The boss has other ideas, the kids have to go to practice, the flights were too expensive, it was better to wait until later. Whatever.

Someone famous once said life is what happens to you while you’re too busy living. I like to say:
If you don’t have a purpose in life, someone will give you theirs…

If we don’t have clear goals in life, then others will be more than happy to tell you what to do. It might be our family, our friends, or the boss. Whoever it is, life is much more fun when you live by your own rules and directions.

So as you approach the next decade, stop and ask yourself… is it my purpose I’m living or someone else’s?

You might find that it’s time to take back control of your purpose. Who knows you might actually have to decide what it is that your purpose in life is, and that’s the hardest part. And once you have it, everything just seems to fall into place. Your life becomes a passionate expression of you and the people around you gravitate to that.

It’s why I sign off every email with Live with Passion…

A life lived on purpose is a life lived passionately…
