How many property investment companies actually give you their direct mobile numbers?
Hey guys,
I had a great chat this evening with a new sign up to my ‘Insiders Tips and Tricks’ newsletter. He was particularly impressed that the Managing Director of the company would firstly give his mobile on the public website and secondly that he would actually answer it.
I have never minded putting my mobile out to the 1000s of people that see our website and encouraging them to call me directly.
I learnt a long time ago (as a young guy playing the dating game) that if you gave your number out during a night out, only a very small number would actually call it. Far from rejection I found that the people that actually called were the ones that really wanted questions answered, (or a date as the case may be!). Anyway the business has grown but even with 19 of us now the entire team are still 100% committed to remaining in touch with our investors.
Anyway the point I am leading to is this…
I love what I do, my team loves what they do, we don’t really treat YPC as a 9 to 6 job, we treat it as a way of life and having each of our mobile numbers means that you have a lot of flexibility in how you interact with us and most of all you know that we are approachable and hopefully less likely to do anything slippery*. After all I would be quite embarrassed if my team started receiving complaints from clients that had not received the service we guaranteed them.
Live with passion,
Brett Wood
* - My favourite word at the moment is ‘Slippery Sharks’. It refers to all of the people and companies that are selling property and deliberately providing misleading information, such as overstated rents, overstated values, only providing acquisition costs rather than at least an accurate two year cash flow.
