Introducing me - Josie Chi - your new Head of Lettings
Brett Alegre-WoodChairman, YPC Group
Hey,

Just a little bit about myself as a way of introduction I am the new Head of Lettings at YPC Lettings.
I was born in Thailand and moved to Australia when I was a baby but I'm Chinese and I'm now living in the UK! I had only planned to stay here for a couple of years - to work and travel but as it goes I've met a lovely English man, bought a flat together and got engaged. We got engaged in October 2008 but we are no closer to getting married! Maybe next year once we decide where to have it.
Prior to this I spent a couple of years in China and Taiwan teaching English and on a more personal level learning Chinese and more about my Chinese heritage. It was an eye opener and I learnt a lot about myself and about being an Australian Chinese.

I started working in property when I arrived in the UK, about 5 years ago. My first job was working at another property investment club as a Property Manager. During my time here I was responsible for managing the lettings of many properties. So I got a real feel for what it was all about. More recently I was the Sales Coordinator at an international Interior Design company co-owned by Philippe Starck setting up their sales department.
My first personal experience in property was 3 years ago when my fiance and I bought our first property in Brixton. It was a 2 bed garden floor flat in need of work. We ripped out the kitchen and bathroom and refurbished it, putting our mark on it and making it our home. We lived there for 2 years then decided it was time for a change so moved up to vibrant North London and in the process making us landlords and expanding our property portfolio.
YPC Lettings is moving forward and lots of things will be happening so watch this space! I look forward to working with you and the new challenges ahead.
Regards,
Josie Chi
