Don’t sign anything!
Hey guys,
I tell all my clients from the beginning of our relationship that the only way you could possibly lose money is property is when you sign something. So the simple way to not lose any money is never sign anything.
Simple, but of course you will never make any money either. So the compromise is to never ever sign if you are not comfortable or don’t fully understand what you are signing.
This means that no matter what time pressures you are under you do not sign until you have full details.
I would prefer you lose a deal than sign something that could end up costing you a whole lot more.
So even if the salesman says it will be sold, the solicitor says the offer will be withdrawn or anyone is trying to push you to commit don’t do it until you are certain.
Remember the best deal in property comes along everyday and in truth l have rarely lost a deal when l took a little extra time to seek clarification.
Live with passion,
Brett Wood
